Ossett Town Ladies vs. Brayton Belles

First league game of the season saw Ossett take on Brayton Belles at home.

After the disappointment of last season Town looked to continue their preseason form and record their first victory of the season. They could not ask for a better start a pass across goal was met by Abbey who placed the ball calmly in the net.

Against the run of play Brayton equalised but Town continued to press for a second and they were rewarded when Dani found herself with the ball and placed the ball past the oncoming keeper.

Half time 2:1 to Ossett.

Second half Ossett continued to play the ball looking to score a third but again against the run of play Brayton equalised after a clearance fell luckily to their striker to slot past Town’s keeper.

Town were now the far superior team and their patience was rewarded when centre forward Caroline headed the ball past the keeper.

Ossett saw the game out and recorded their first victory.
