Ossett Town Ladies are expanding with more ladies than ever now playing football at the Club.

The Ladies team have recently secured funding through Sport England’s Sportivate programme to encourage females aged 17 – 25 to take up sport. In addition to working closely with the Junior Club to increase the number of girls playing football, the Ladies are also focussing on recruiting for the Senior set up and creating an additional team.

Team Manager, Dan Robinson said, “This grant from Sportivate will enable us to run free football sessions for those wishing to take up the sport and to help those get back into the game after an absence. We have a wide range of ages already at the Club but focussing on this specific age range will really help us to expand our teams and provide an stable exit route for the Junior Club girls when they reach 16.”

In addition to their Sportivate funding, the Club have also secured sponsorship from local garage, Roadrunner to kit the team out with a range of training shirts.
