Each year Ossett Town Juniors hosts its annual football gala. This year the gala took place on the weekend of 13th/14th June at Highfield School for the first time and was a tremendous success. Over a glorious weekend with non-stop sunshine 86 teams took part in the annual tournament over the course of the two days.
The football was top quality, the weather glorious and the kids really enjoyed themselves.
Ossett Town Juniors did exceptionally well been age group winners at U11s, U12s and U14s and runners up in the U8s and U13s age groups - well done to all players.
Organising a gala such as this is a tremendous task and we must pay tribute to everyone who helped - with all age groups pitching in to help it would be impossible to identify every individual who helped either over the weekend or in preparing for gala in the months running up to it - so a big THANK YOU to everyone who helped make it a fantastic success.
The gala is an important income generator for the club and helps to cover the essential running costs we have e.g. hiring pitches, paying league fees, buying trophies for presentation nights, buying equipment (footballs, goals, training equipment etc.) and professional coaching.
