Ossett Town 5 – 1 Wortley

A superb strike from Sam Hewitt put town ahead in an evenly contested 1st half where both teams seemed to struggle to find any rhythm. Wortley deservedly claimed an equaliser just before the break.

Edward Furlong’s quick thinking led to towns 5th by feeding Joe Connolly  who set up a perfect cross for Will Longbottom to head home the last goal of the match.

The hard working and determined Sam Hewitt claimed the man of the match accolade but keeper Ben Harley deserves some credit for his organisation of town’s defence.
